Custom Modules are specialized add-on features for the Keystroke
POS system. Custom Modules are not stand-alone products and require the base Keystroke system
(Single-User, or Network Version) for operation. With the exception of MultiStore (see below), each Custom Module is
licensed for use with a single serialized base system.
Modules:
- Four dimension size/color/style
matrix
- Credit card processing
- Data interfaces for popular accounting
systems
- Importing inventory, customer and vendor
information
- Scripting (for customized line item entry
procedures)
- Production (item kitting/assembly)
- Multiple store data management utilities
- General Ledger Link
-
- The General Ledger Link (GL-Link) module provides an interface to the general
ledger module of third party accounting systems. Journal entries are generated for sales and accounts receivable
transactions and output to either a report format or to an ASCII file. This ASCII file is formatted specifically to
be read and posted into any one of the following general ledger systems: BusinessWorks and
Peachtree from Sage, PAS +, GBS II and CYMA IV from CYMA
Systems, QuickBooks for DOS and Windows from Intuit, ACCPAC products from Computer
Associates, and Macola.
-
- The Script Editor module provides the ability to set up customized entry
procedures for inputting specific line items at the point of sale. These procedures (called "Scripts") may
include any combination of special reminder messages, on-screen prompts, tag-along items, on-the-fly-kitting, components,
alternate items, and/or suggested add-on items. Each inventory item may have its own unique Scripts.
This powerful module adds features that will benefit most any business using Keystroke.

- Production
-
- The Production module is a special inventory maintenance tool designed to help
manage items that are produced in batches from individually purchased components. It is ideal for businesses which
do product assembly or light manufacturing. A production template can be setup for a finished good (such as a gift
basket) which contains various component items. A specified quantity of the template item can later be produced, at
which time appropriate quantities of each component item are removed from stock. Back to the Top

- MultiStore
-
- MultiStore includes a set of special functions designed to help manage sales and
inventory in multiple store/warehouse operations. Primary features include: quantity-on-hand lookup for alternate
stores/locations, inter-store inventory transfers, composite inventory level reports; and transaction consolidation.
While only a single MultiStore module is required per chain of stores, a separate Keystroke POS system
must be purchased for each store location where Keystroke software will be installed (i.e., each store,
warehouse and main office). Data may be transferred between locations via modem or on disk. Multistore does
not include modem communications software (e.g.; Close-up by Norton-Lambert is recommended). Back to the Top
-
- Importer
-
- The Importer module provides the ability to transfer data from an ASCII comma (or
tab) delimited file format into the Keystroke system. Inventory, Customer and Vendor data may be
either imported as complete records, or merged in order to modify specific fields in an existing database (e.g., price
updates obtained on disk from a vendor). Your local Keystroke dealer can also import data for you.

- EDC
-
- Are you tired of leasing those little gray credit card boxes and dealing with the double
entry of credit card information? Credit card authorization and processing no longer has to be a hassle. The Keystroke
Electronic Draft Capture (EDC) module allows you to perform electronic credit card authorizations and bank
settlement using an inexpensive magnetic stripe reader and standard modem.
-
- The Keystroke program handles credit card transactions just
like any other sale. With the cursor in the Payment Reference field, all you do is swipe the credit card through the
mag-stripe reader. You also have the option of typing in the credit card number and expiration date when necessary.
Keystroke dials the processor and requests authorization for the specified amount. Once authorization is complete, an
approval code (unless declined) is displayed on the screen. A signature receipt can be printed with all the
necessary information for the credit card transaction. Back to the Top
-
- Credit card transactions are authorized at the time of sale, and depending on which
electronic processor you use, funds may be transferred to your bank account immediately or upon end of day settlement
procedures. Keystroke EDC supports most national credit card processors (e.g., CES, MAPP, NDC,
etc.).
-
- For more information about Keystroke EDC module, contact SBS
or your local authorized Keystroke dealer. We can help you eliminate the extra hardware on
your sales counter, and at the same time make processing credit card sales faster, easier and more profitable!
-
- The Keystroke EDC module provides the ability to perform electronic credit
card authorizations and end of day funds processing. EDC may be used with Keystroke Single-User or
Network Version. A magnetic stripe reader, modem and third party processing service are required. Back to the Top
